A TRIBUTE
A Tribute to Artina Lindsey and Sade Adekanla
It was a lovely day when Artina and Sade crossed over into the Land of Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. On
November 9, 2002, these ladies embarked upon a journey to start the first two chapters of Beta Phi Omega
Sorority, Inc outside of the Alpha Omega Chapter. With a goal in mind and a positive outlook on expansion
Ms. Lindsey brought forth the Beta Gamma Chapter in Chicago, IL and Ms. Adekanla organized the
Beta Delta Chapter in Philadelphia, PA. These two chapters are still excelling in 2006. Ms. Lindsey also went
on to establish the Beta Iota Chapter in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, FL area on December 19, 2004.
Starting a chapter is not an easy task, but these two women proved it to be successful and worth the
struggle and hard work. These two ladies not only worked to get chapters started in their areas, but are
also members and leaders of the National Regional Membership Committee (NRMC) in which they work
diligently to make sure that the Membership Intake Process is always organized and professional.
These two exceptional ladies have shown that they are not afraid of hard work and have welcomed any
challenge presented to them. They have helped to keep the legacy and honor of Beta Phi Omega Sorority,
Inc. alive.
Please join me in honoring Ms. Artina Lindsey and Ms. Sade Adekanla on a job well done in servicing
Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. They deserve the recognition and everyone should be made aware of
their hard work and genuine dedication!
